Anything that publishes real HTML can move as it is. Wix cannot, by Wix's own documentation, so a Wix job is a rebuild and is priced as one. Shops usually should not move at all.

The switch, minute by minute.
About fifteen minutes of clicking, then a wait for the internet to catch up. The old site keeps serving the whole time, which is why there is no dark window and why the rollback is trivial.
- Records are read firstEvery DNS record for the domain is pulled from live DNS and written down before anything changes. This is where email is saved or lost.
- The zone is created, the records recreatedWeb records proxied, every mail record set to DNS only. Cloudflare's automatic import has been observed proxying mail hosts, which would stop mail clients connecting — so the import is checked by hand, record by record.
- Nameservers change at your registrarYou keep the domain where it is and keep renewing it there. Registrars can be awkward here: one silently discarded the change when its SMS code expired, so the result is verified at the registry afterwards rather than trusted from the dashboard.
- Propagation, then verificationEvery page is re-checked live: status codes, images, mail resolution, certificate. Only then do you cancel the old plan.
Cloudflare offers a switch to block AI crawlers. From 15 September 2026, by Cloudflare's own announcement, selecting the training block also blocks multi-purpose crawlers including Googlebot, Applebot and Bingbot, because they follow the most restrictive rule that applies. Ticked without thinking, it removes a site from Google. It gets checked and documented on every migration.
Questions about moving
Can you move a Wix site?
Not move — rebuild. Wix's own help centre states that a Wix site must run on Wix's servers and cannot be hosted elsewhere, because the platform is proprietary. So a Wix job is a rebuild of the same design on Cloudflare, quoted as the $1,900 tier, not the $890 one.
What can you move as it is?
Anything that publishes real HTML: Squarespace, Framer, Webflow, GoDaddy Website Builder, WordPress, and hand-built sites. The published pages become the source, so what you approved is what ships.
How long does it take?
One to two working days for the build and the checks, then the DNS switch when you are ready. I work about 25 hours a week, 09:00 to 14:00 Aruba time, Monday to Friday, so a job booked on Monday is normally live by Thursday.
What if I want to go back?
Point the nameservers back to where they were. The old host serves again. That is the whole rollback, and it is why the old plan is cancelled after the new site is live, not before.
Do you keep a copy?
Yes. Every site gets a git repository, an offline archive, and a copy in private cloud storage. On one project the archive alone was cloned to an empty machine, redeployed and pixel-compared against the live site: 0.06%, 0.34% and 0.08% different at three screen widths.
